Louise and Michael share their Kuramathi Island Review
Louise and Michael spent 2 weeks at Kuramathi Island Resort in the Maldives for their well-deserved honeymoon. We caught up with Louise to see how they enjoyed their time in one of the world’s most romantic destinations…
“The sea plane transfer was seamless, a really well organised experience where we got to see amazing over head views of the islands plus it was much quicker than by speedboat! When we arrived at Kuramathi Island Resort we were greeted at reception by the Kuoni rep, Tracey, and we had a fruit cocktail and a brief chat, and were then taken by buggy to our Garden Villa (we were upgraded to a Jacuzzi) and the bags followed shortly after, it was very efficient from start to finish.”
“The food & drink I cannot fault. Breakfast was a buffet option with plenty of choices. For lunch we either went to Island coffee shop or Palm and had salads, fish, pasta pizza etc, all waiter service and often with a bottle of white wine.”
“Dinner was an amazing experience each night. We would book at reception for 2 days in advance and had no trouble securing a reservation, our personal fav’s were Island BBQ, the fish at Reef was amazing, and the Thai at Siam Garden was to die for, specifically the crab!”
“A highlight for Michael and I was the A La Carte All Inclusive option. We were able to eat at all of the restaurants, order cocktails and had a fantastic wine list to chose from all at no additional cost. Our second week was in a Water Villa which was incredible. We had a Jacuzzi on the balcony area, and could just step into the sea.”
“We went on an excursion called Snorkel Safari where we went via boat to 2 reefs and we saw lots of fish, dolphins & a sea turtle. The snorkel equipment was free on Select all Inclusive, and we went pretty much every day – we saw plenty of sharks and a rainbow of tropical fish. The weather was faultless. Despite being rainy season we had maybe 10 mins of rain all together throughout our stay, which passed as quickly as it came, it was wall to wall blue skies & sunshine.”
“The staff at Kuramathi were amazing. So polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. They took the time to get to know us, remembered our drinks and name. It was the most perfect Honeymoon we could have ever wished for and we will definitely return.”
