Ajay and Harpreet discover what it’s like at Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa
When it came to choosing our honeymoon destination, there was only one place that sprung to mind – Bora Bora.
After being recommend Pure Destinations we made our appointment in store to meet with Lakh who managed to help us plan the honeymoon we wished for.
Although the French Polynesian Island is quickly garnering a reputation as the go-to-place for newlyweds, the Pearl of the Pacific can be deemed too far away from Britain. We are glad to say that upon arrival, the journey was long forgotten.
Pictures really do not do justice to the beauty that Bora Bora holds. From the crystal clear waters, to the idyllic sunsets, the Tahitian island was the perfect getaway after stressful months of wedding planning.
We chose to stay at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa and the welcome we had was more than we could of wished for.
The obligatory overwater bungalow we called home for 5 nights had been recently renovated and included its own infinity pool with sunset views and a ladder from the bungalow to the ocean, allowing us to swim with the schools of fish below us. The decking area also provided a great platform to watch the stars at night.
The cuisine available at the resort varied greatly despite the ongoing renovations and only one restaurant being open. Being an island, Tahitian cuisine is rich in seafood and featured heavily on the menu. Though if this was not to your taste, there were a variety of pizzas, pastas and burgers available. These were available as in-room dining or served beachside.
There are plenty of activities available at the resort to keep everyone entertained, whatever your hobbies. The lagoon provides most of these including scuba diving the coral reef, kayaking and even swimming with manta rays and black tip sharks for the more adventurous.
In addition to this, we also trekked the mountains and jungle of nearby Vaitape, providing a completely different way to explore the island. Alternatively, we simply marveled at the natural splendour of the lagoon, which changed from sunrise to sunset and amazed us more and more each day.
We cannot thank Lakh and the team at Pure Destinations for organising our time in paradise. Bora Bora really was paradise and the best tropical destination for us newlyweds. We could not imagine a better more romantic getaway. We will definitely be booking our next trip with Pure Destinations and recommending your services to others.
