Ubud

Known for sprawling rice terraces, private pool villa accommodation, ancient temples and thrilling excursions, Ubud is a destination for enjoying the outdoors.

Tegallalang Rice Terrace

The stunning Tegallalang rice terraces are easy to get to and offer beautiful, scenic and dramatic vistas with stunning overlays of neat wild rice fields. While here, capture the breathtaking rice terrace as you swing across the lush green fields on the Terrace River Pool Swing!

White Water Rafting

Stretching 75km from the northern mountains area all the way to Badung Strait at Sanur, the Ayung River is Bali’s longest and widest river, making this an excellent place to enjoy some thrilling white water rafting. There are six grades of difficulty in white water rafting, depending on experience and thrill-level. Children as young as 9 and adults as old as 65 can enjoy the excitement of white water rafting, making it great bucket list activity to do in Bali for family holidays and honeymoons. Pass the spectacular scenery along the way as you swerve through the Ayung River through lush green rain forest, rice fields, carved stone walls and waterfalls.

 

Ubud Monkey Forest

Home to around 700 monkeys and 186 species of trees, set within 12.5 hectares of lush forest, Monkey Forest is a popular attraction to add to your bucket list when in Ubud. As well as this, you can explore three temples in the area of Scared Monkey Forest Sanctuary; Pura Dalem Agung, Pura Beji and Pura Prajapati.

 

Mount Batur

Mount Batur or also referred to as The Kintamani Volcano is an active volcano surrounding the stunning Batur caldera lake. Take in the views early in the morning to catch the mesmerizing sunrise to begin your day with nature. This popular trek is great for adventure-seekers; take the winding road down to the lakeshore to Toya Bungkah, Ulun Danu Batur temple and a number of hot springs.

Pura Taman Saraswati Temple

Known as the ‘Ubud Water Palace’ this beautiful Balinese Hindu temple is dedicated to the goddess Sarasvati. Located right off the main road of Jalan Raya Ubud, a visit here is one for the bucket list. Featuring a beautiful foyer with a lotus-filled pond, classic Balinese architecture and there’s a Café too that overlooks the pond. During the evening, the temple is beautifully lit and hosts regular dance performances.

 

Seminyak

Seminyak’s beautiful sandy coastline is brimmed with cool things to do to end your Bali holiday with total relaxation.

Double Six Beach

Relax the day away on a beach bag at Double Six Beach. This 500-metre sandy beach the northernmost strip of Legian and southernmost beachfront of Seminyak. Lined with hip bars and restaurants, there’s always somewhere to explore for a tipple and great all-day dining.
