Sarah and Richard enjoy birthday celebrations in Dubai
Sarah celebrated her 40th birthday in Dubai with husband Richard. Booked by our Edgbaston store travel agent, Charlene, Sarah wanted to plan something extra special for her 40th and what better way than to celebrate in style than in Dubai! Charlene put together a Dubai holiday package and arranged some birthday extras to make their holiday extra special. We caught up with Sarah after her return from Dubai where she stayed at Rixos The Palm and the iconic Burj Al Arab, read on to discover what they got up to.
How was your stay at Rixos The Palm?
The room type was fantastic I had asked for a Burj al Arab sea view and that’s exactly what we got beautiful sunrises. The all inclusive was fabulous, lovely food & cocktails and wines, which includes buffet breakfast lunch dinner, snacks and drinks by the pool. We also used the speciality restaurants, the steakhouse was amazing one of the best steaks I’ve ever had and the service was fantastic. The food and drink is expensive in Dubai so glad we went all inclusive.
How was your night at Burj Al Arab?
Our night in the Burj Al Arab was truly amazing we got given a complimentary upgrade to a panoramic suite which was out of this world, the service was fantastic nothing was too much trouble. We used the indoor pool and Jacuzzi and the terrace area was stunning with the infinity pool giving amazing views, again service amazing, offering ice bag with water, face spray, cold flannels & small cold drink they regularly came around with small ice creams and drinks. We went half board at Burj Al Arab and the food was of a great standard even though it was buffet, we had no complaints. The hotel staff were lovely and let us explore the hotel, we looked at the Skybar and Gold On 27 Nathan Outlaws restaurant with aquarium, which was so amazing. After we checked out we were able to use the pool and changing facilities, which were fabulous, and you can still use all facilities until you leave.
How was celebrating your birthday in Dubai?
I felt so special celebrating my birthday in Dubai both hotels made me feel very special with cards and gifts. The Burj Al Arab provided balloons, cake, a man playing Guitar, flowers and gift box of dates all came to the room singing happy birthday, I was overwhelmed.
How did you spend your time in Dubai?
We didn’t do too much as it was super hot but we did go to Dubai Mall to see the Fountains & the Burj Khalifa – wow what a building! We also charted a yacht to take us on a trip around The Palm, which was fantastic; it was a shame that it was a bit choppy but what an experience… We had a night out with friends and ate at the Jumeirah al Naseem we had a great meal.
How was the service that you received from your travel agent Charlene during your planning and booking process?
Charlene was fantastic always very quick to answer any questions and concerns and asked for upgrades and special treats for my birthday which the hotels listened to. This was a hugely expensive holiday for us but so worth it!
