Tour Overview
The tour is an intriguing tour of Cape Town’s history and culture- it pays homage to the “Rainbow Nation” and Robben Island, which of course was the prison home of Nelson Mandela for 27 years.
The Walk of Freedom tour starts with a visit to District Six which leads to Langa an old township. In Langa, there is the opportunity to pop into the shebeen (pub), here the progression in housing is visible-through new developments as well as the restoration of old single quarters.
There is then an opportunity to enjoy a lunch in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront district before ending the day with a three hour cruise and visit to Robben Island.
