Tour Overview
Not for the feint hearted! This tour gives visitors the ultimate adrenaline rush, as you get up close and personal with the world’s biggest predator- The Great White Shark!
The trip starts with a continental breakfast at the White Shark Lodge before a boat trip to Dyer Island. The island which has become synonymous with the Great White Shark gives the opportunity to view the predator from both above and below the surface. There will be a short lecture on shark anatomy and behaviour given by the Skipper of the day.
It is now when the truly spectacular opportunities arise! In groups of 4 or 5, you get the opportunity to enter the water in a shark cage- all needed equipment will be provided. The top sight viewing which is available provides excellent opportunities for pictures, as the crew work with the sharks.
Lunch boxes filled with bread rolls and a variety of fillings, sweets, crisps and juices and soft drinks are provided on board the boat. And upon return to the harbour you are invited to try some hot soup and breads at the White Shark Lodge.

The Great White Shark Cage Dive with Transfers from Cape Town departs daily, all year round. Collection times are dependent upon tides and weather conditions and so varies from 4.30am to 11.30am. The excursion lasts approximately 8 hours with approximately 4 hours at sea.
