Best Beaches for Your Bali Luxury Holiday

There are countless reasons why you should take a Bali luxury holiday! Located in the traveller’s dream of Indonesia, not only is Bali filled with breath-taking luxury resorts, but it is rich in fascinating culture, historical monuments and sights, stunning arts, mouth-watering culinary experiences and miles-up-miles of beautiful beaches.

The beaches in Bali offer something for everyone; crystalline waters making it a diver’s dream world and perfect for swimmers, strong waves for excellent surfing, and stunning sandy stretches for sunbathers. Each beach looks slightly different form the last, with some being made of huge rocks formed by lava or corals, some with white powdery sand and some with volcanic black sand. Whether you are travelling with your partner, friends or family on your Bali luxury holiday, you will have lots of beaches to suit your needs!

With so many beaches to choose from, we thought we would select our favourite 10 to help guide you when choosing which to visit. We hope this comes in handy!

Kuta Beach

Here you can buy soft drinks, beer and snacks, rent surfboards, sun loungers, and umbrellas; is it really any wonder why tourism in Bali began here? This stretch is a surfers paradise as the currents are strong and the waves are higher than other beaches. This is great spot for people seeking an upbeat nightlife, with beach parties and beach clubs that are bound to entertain you. Why not pay the Hard Rock Café Bali a visit, where you can eat, drink and party from around the clock?

Sanur Beach

Over 5km long, this golden beach is enveloped in corals and clear azure waters that are mild and perfect for swimmers. Sanur Beach has lots of pretty seashells to collect as a memento for your Bali luxury holiday, and starfish can be spotted in the waters as you stroll along the sands. As the beach resorts are relatively low-key, you can expect a peaceful day at Sanur Beach.

Bias Tugal Beach

Locals call this sandy haven ‘Little Beach’, while it is referred to as ‘White Sand Beach’ to travellers. One of Bali’s best kept secrets, Tugal Beach is tucked away and inaccessible without walking down a 500m rocky path. The essence of a tropical beach holiday really does come to life at Tugal, with glimmering waters, white sands and swaying palm trees. Currents can be strong, so swimming for beginners is not advised, but there is plenty of soft sand to sock up the sun’s rays on!

Geger Beach

From time to time, local seaweed farmers work along Geger Beach, and there is something very enlightening about watching these people go about their livelihood. With gentle waters, it is safe to say this beach is perfect for swimming in as well as sunbathing. The sand is packed tightly it a more solid ground than powdery sand, thus making it a great spot for playing beach sports such as football and volleyball. Enjoy eating and drinking in the string of restaurants and cafes on the beach front, especially popular for a Sunday brunch!

Nyang Nyang Beach

Another one of Bali’s hidden gems, Nyang Nyang Beach requires walking up and down slopes of a winding street and then thought a densely packed forest before reaching it. Opening up into pale sands and turquoise waters, it is certainly worth the journey there! Nyang Nyang beach is quiet spot with less children as there is a mossy decent of steps descending down to the water. So, for a hidden away, quiet escape, with lots of surfing opportunities, we certainly recommend Nyang Nyang Beach! Don’t forget mosquito spray and swimming is recommended when the tide is lower.

Padang-Padang Beach

This beach is different from the others mentioned in the sense that it is surrounded by large rocks covered in moss, overgrown plants and monkeys! A narrow passage and a steep staircase lead you down onto this hidden paradise. Why not explore the small caves with each other or with the kids? Swimmers will be in there element here when the tide is high, and there is lots of coral and marine life to observe, but watch out for sea urchins! Whether it is a busy or a quiet day, you will not fail to be captivated by the beauty and charm of Padang-Padang Beach on your Bali luxury holiday!
