Tour Overview
Horse racing is Hong Kong’s biggest spectator sport and makes a thrilling day out. There are about 80 meetings per year on the listed days. Most races take place at the Sha Tin Course at weekends and Happy Valley Race Track during the week.
The atmosphere at the Hong Kong Horse Racing tour is electric and the betting takes a grip of you for the day. Whether betting is your thing or not, its worth going to the races for the experience! The tour is especially designed for overseas visitors, and so includes; transportation to and from the track, entry to the visitors’ box inside the members’ enclosure and a tour of the Parade Ring and Winning Post. The tour starts at various times between 10.00am and 5.00pm depending on the time of the year. The tour departs on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays between 30 August and 10 July. The tour lasts for approximately 5 hours during the week and normally 7 hours at the weekend. The dress code for this tour is smart casual, those entering the racing boxes should not wear blue jeans, T-shirts, tracksuits, singlets, shorts, overalls, sport shoes and flip-flops.
