Most opulent of all is the 2-bedroom Viceroy Villa, the perfect holiday residence, with its expansive rooms, double-tiered thatched roof and lush garden, complete with pristine private swimming pool. Each bedroom comes with a 42” flat screen TV and there is another 55” TV in the living area.
Facilities
Luxurious pampering can be enjoyed at the hotel’s Lembah Spa, a tranquil retreat where you can reap the benefits of age-old Balinese healing techniques and philosophies as well as taking advantage of the world-class facilities on offer. These include a steam room, cold plunge pool and relaxation decks which provide picturesque valley views. Alternatively, guests can unwind in the Library, a cosy spot well-stocked with books and DVDs – or you can burn off last night’s extravagant dinner by working out in the air-conditioned gymnasium, where private yoga classes are available for booking. Venturing further afield, a selection of highly enjoyable and fascinating cultural excursions can be arranged at the Viceroy – such as a visit to the Royal Palace and the vibrant Art Market, or a trip to the famous Ubud Monkey Forest, with its cheeky troop of long-tailed macaques.
Restaurants
Enjoy delectable fine dining at Viceroy Bali courtesy of the resort’s superlative CasCades restaurant, a stylish contemporary eatery widely considered to be one of the best places to eat on the island.
-
Surrounded by dazzling vistas and shimmering reflection ponds, CasCades is the perfect place to enjoy an intimate romantic dinner or a mouth-watering lunch. The menu is French-inspired but with an exotic Asian influence which seamlessly combines attributes of Japanese, Thai and – of course – Balinese cooking.
Each month there is a Full Moon Dinner & Dance, and the restaurant is also the ideal venue for birthday dinners and other celebrations.
-
An array of alcoholic drinks is provided by the hotel’s similarly sophisticated bar, Viceroy Bali, which serves as a picturesque watering hole overlooking the river gorge. Here you can imbibe the finest-quality wines and spirits or try one of the various innovative cocktails on the menu.
