Room Types
There are 6 different luxury lodges located in Shamwari Game Reserve, including two lodges especially designed to cater to families enjoying a one-of-a-kind wilderness vacation. All of the lodges boast spectacular views of the bush and are equipped with a range of must-have amenities. There is also a seasonally operated tented camp.

Eagles Crag Lodge
Eagles Crag is named for the dramatic views it offers of the surrounding rock faces where eagles soar and make their nests. There are 9 different lavish suites available here, divided into 7 with king-size beds and 2 with twin beds. All suites feature a gleaming en-suite bathroom, a private deck with pristine plunge pool, a mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities among their luxurious amenities.

Long Lee Manor
Long Lee is a gracious Edwardian-style manor nestled among manicured gardens and facing out over the awe-inspiring expanse of wilderness. There are 10 suites and 5 luxury rooms to be found here, all with twin beds, though they can be converted into a super king-size bed if required. Room features include an en-suite bathroom with separate shower, a private patio or balcony, and a mini bar.

Explorer Camp
Explorer is a seasonal tented camp operating from October through to April and allowing guests to savour a compelling 2-night walking safari trail through the African bush. Each uniquely decorated tent comes equipped with comfortable beds, en-suite bathroom facilities, LED lighting, and an outdoor washbasin. Insect repellent is also provided.

Sarili Lodge
Occupying a prime location overlooking the Bushman’s River is Sarili Lodge, one of the Reserve’s two family-friendly accommodation options. There are 2 Luxury Rooms with balconies, 2 Luxury courtyard rooms, and 1 sumptuous suite with a balcony. All room types feature en-suite bathrooms, a mini bar, TV and under-floor heating among their luxury amenities.

Riverdene Family Lodge
Riverdene provides an elegant but relaxed home-from-home for families on safari in Shamwari. For spectacular tented accommodation enhanced by panoramic views of the African bush look no further than Bayethe, which is named for the heart-warming traditional greeting that translates as ‘I salute you’. Bayethe is home to 12 detached tents, divided into 3 superior tents and 9 luxury tents. The superior tents each boast an en-suite bathroom, hammock, fireplace, a private deck and plunge pool while the luxury tents feature en-suite bathrooms, a plunge pool and private mini bar among their amenities.

Villa Lobengula
Boasting awe-inspiring views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, this remarkable villa – designed to resemble an African kraal – offers serenity, privacy and luxury to discerning travelers. Villa Lobengula features a lounge with satellite TV, a deck lounge with a fireplace, private swimming and plunge pools, a Relaxation Retreat and a Fitness Room.
Sarili Lodge boasts a lounge area with satellite TV, indoor and outdoor dining areas and a swimming pool with a shallow section for kids.
Eagles Crag Lodge is home to an impressive range of facilities. These include a lounge with a fireplace and big-screen TV, an upstairs lounge with fireplace and terrace, a well-appointed Relaxation Retreat, a library and boardroom, a Business Centre and a gift boutique.
Explorer Camp’s facilities include the tents, a viewing deck and a portable bar.
The stately Long Lee Manor features among its facilities 2 swimming pools, a Relaxation Retreat, indoor and outdoor dining facilities and a gift boutique. You will also benefit from a fitness centre and steam room, and there is a conference facility available for up to 35 delegates.
