Overview
Situated on a private estate in the Miconia highland Forest on the island of Santa Cruz, the Royal Palm Hotel is spacious, exclusive and very restful. With its eight casitas and 13 villas – each built with privacy in mind – it suits couples, families and family groups and offers a very rewarding holiday embracing the local nature.

Room Types
For families, extra beds and cots can be provided for use in the villas but not the casitas.

Casitas
Each Casitas has 38m² of floor area, with a spacious and comfortable bedroom with either one king size or two queen size beds. There is a bathroom with inside Jacuzzi, a comfortable lounge and dining area and a porch leading to the private garden. Two pairs of the casitas have interconnecting doors and are perfect for family groups. -
Highland Villas
There are eight of these villas which are really attractive and comfortable with their rich mahogany flooring and furniture. The floor area is 85m² and there is a choice of either a king size bed for two guests or two queen beds for up to four guests. There is an attractive living/dining area with open fireplace for cooler months and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi. The view from these villas is very special as it looks out over the estate to the ocean beyond. -
The Presidential Villa
This suite has a distinctive pitched roof and its own garden. Inside is an open plan living area of 60m² under the beamed roof with a beautiful king size four poster bed and dressing area that leads down to the living/dining area with an open fireplace – perfect for two people who are seeking a hideaway. -
The Royal Villa
This spacious 78m² villa is also open plan with a beautiful king size bed and dressing area and downstairs a spacious living/dining area with log fire. Outside there is an attractive private garden. -
The Prince of Wales Villa
This stunning villa is the largest and named in honour of HRH the Prince of Wales who stayed there with the Duchess of Cornwall. This villa is 90m² of spacious living with two attractive bedrooms - one with a kingsize bed, the other, two queen beds. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom and dressing area and the master bedroom also has its own sauna. Both bedrooms have access to their own gardens. The elegant living area has a dining srea and fireplace and is ideal for four guests.
Facilities
There is plenty to see and do in the vicinity of the hotel including bird watching, horse riding, hiking and jogging and just down at the coast there is some of the world’s best diving and snorkelling as well as kayaking and surfing.

During the summer months, dinner is served out on the terrace which is attractively furnished with white rattan sofas and chairs and white wrought iron dining tables and chairs. It is a lovely setting with view across the rolling countryside to the ocean and a star filled sky too.
A really good breakfast is also served in the dining room. The wine cellar has an eclectic collection of some of South America’s best wines. There is a bar area with Happy Hours on Thursday – Sunday and a tempting selection of Sundowner cocktails
