Room Types

Diamonds Athuruga offers a choice of Beach Bungalows and Water Villas.

Beach bungalows

There are 46 Beach Bungalows in total, each one boasting a private furnished deck and providing you with direct beach access. They also feature open-air showers, king-sized beds and a daily replenished mini bar as well as a range of other must-have luxury amenities.
Beach Junior Suite

One step up are the Beach Junior Suites, elegant havens of tranquillity and comfort which boast a separate living room with large sofa bed, and a spacious furnished veranda. These suites also provide direct beach access.
Water Villas

Water Villas give you direct access to the shimmering waters of the lagoon and are studies in understated elegance, with their handmade wooden parquet floors and custom-made furniture. As well as a canopy king-size bed, they come with a walk-in closet, spacious bathroom with twin basins and even an Apple iMac so you won’t lack for entertainment during your stay. You also benefit from a large private terrace from which you can step down into the Indian Ocean.
Two Bedroom Water Villas

2-bedroom Water Villas are very similar but are obviously more spacious and benefit from an unparalleled location at the end of the jetty. They also come with a large communal terrace and plunge pool so you can enjoy romantic dips by moonlight.
Water Villa

There are just 14 Water Villas on the lsland and boast of a large private terrace with direct lagoon access. The rooms are tastefully furnished with a four-poster bed, sofa and corner bar. Room amenities include a mini bar which is replenished daily, Apple I-Mac with music and films, safe and tea and coffee making facilities.

Facilities

For a truly soothing holiday experience make your way to Serena Spa and choose from the impressive menu of anti-stress, rejuvenation and Ayurveda-inspired treatments, or simply unwind with a massage or a manicure. Alternatively you can take advantage of the array of leisure activities and sports available at the resort, which range from scuba diving at the iDive Diving Centre to snorkelling, big game fishing, windsurfing, beach volleyball and Pilates.

You can even indulge in some retail therapy at the resort’s Spherique Boutique, where you can pick up local handicrafts and stunning artefacts as souvenirs for friends and family back home.

Maakeyn Buffet Restaurant

The Main Restaurant, located on the island, serves three lavish meals a day, consisting of a hearty American breakfast buffet, an equally delicious buffet lunch and a diverse dinner menu featuring a variety of Asian, Maldivian, Oriental and Italian dishes. Theme nights and fish barbecues are a highlight at this delightful eatery. Special seafood menus are available if you want to arrange a private romantic dinner.
Thari Over Water Restaurant

This restaurant is perched on a deck above the water, here you can feast on a resplendent breakfast before returning for tempting a la carte lunches and dinners, featuring a menu of Italian, Maldivian, Asian and Oriental favourites. Some evenings are dedicated to mouth-watering fish barbecues, and if you want to arrange your very own intimate dinner of delectably fresh seafood you are guaranteed to enjoy the dining experience of a lifetime.
Farivalhu Maldivian Restaurant

Set in a tropical garden with the stars glistening down, this al fresco-dining restaurant is the perfect place for a romantic dinner for two in a gorgeous setting offering traditional Maldivian cuisine.
