Room Types

The accommodation at Maafushivaru comes in the form of elegant thatched villas with spacious contemporary interiors. There are 48 individual villas in total, divided into three categories – Beach, Water and Pool.
  • Beach Villas

    Beach Villas are ideal for smaller families as they can comfortably accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. They are situated just steps from the beach, among the lush green vegetation, and feature a private deck with sun loungers, a semi-open bathroom and a charming garden area complete with stone rainfall shower.
  • Pool Villas

    Pool Villas are designed with families or groups of friends in mind and actually comprise two separate villas with a private shared swimming pool, a shared entrance way with corridor and a dining pavilion. Each villa has its own open-air bathroom with shower.
  • Water Villas

    Finally, Water Villas are located on stilts above the sparkling ocean and provide the ultimate island accommodation, with their own private walkways, private furnished decks and all of the must-have luxury amenities common to all Maafushivaru villas, such as a mini-bar, flat screen TV and DVD player.

Facilities

Catering to your physical and emotional wellbeing is the Maafushivaru Spa, which is tucked away in a secluded corner of the island and is set over the water with sweeping views over the lagoon. There is one couple’s room and one couple’s suite, so ‘lovebirds’ can enjoy a sensual spa experience together, as well as 2 other massage rooms and an aesthetic beauty care room. A selection of European and Asian massages are available, among other pampering therapies.

Alternatively guests can unwind by breaking a sweat in the well-equipped gym or by trying some of the fun-filled leisure activities on offer. These range from snorkelling and water sports to sunset cruises and big-game fishing; and after sunset you can enjoy the nightly entertainment laid on by the resort, whether it’s the exotic strains of local music on Maldivian Night or a cosy evening movie screening.

Restaurants

At Maafushivaru you can enjoy some of the finest dining available anywhere in the Maldives.
  • Cuisine Gallery

    The resort’s main restaurant is the Cuisine Gallery, where guests can tuck in to three resplendent buffet-style meals a day, and also select from a tempting a la carte menu in the evenings. If you want to sample some exotic local flavours don’t miss the weekly Maldivian Night on Tuesday evenings, which showcases some of the island chain’s favourite dishes.
  • Library Lounge

    In between meals, stop off at the Library Lounge coffee shop for a specialty coffee or a refreshing cup of tea and browse through the selection of books and magazines as you sip your drink.
  • Wine Chiller

    A host of world-class wines and wine tasting sessions are available in the Wine Chiller and you can sip refreshing cold beers and exotic cocktails while gazing out over the lagoon in the Water Bar.
  • Water Bar

    The Water Bar is set by the resort’s pool, with indoor and outdoors seating. Enjoy homemade cocktails, soft drinks and chilled beers. Open from 9am until late.
  • A La Carte Dining

    For a romantic evening dinner overlooking the Indian Ocean, either from the wooden jetty or the soft sands of the beach, the A La Carte Dining experience allows you to enjoy privacy while you enjoy the tastes of an a la Carte menu.
  • Private Dining

    Go a little further on your Maldives holiday with a private dining experience, spoil your loved one with a surprise set course meal for two on the beach while the sunsets across the Indian Ocean. Choose from three set menus; the Lobster dinner is a five-course meal on the beach, the Romantic dinner is also set on the beach with four courses and the Lonubo dinner offers a personal chef on your own private island.
  • 135° East

    135° East serves oriental flavours from Japanese traditions in this contemporary Teppanyaki and sushi restaurant. Enjoy live cooking stations, which are designed to entertain you while you watch your dinner being prepared.
