Room Types

Fairmont Banff Springs is situated in a castle like main building and the attractive Stanley Thompson Wing. This luxury mountain resort has been offering year round luxury accommodation for 125 years. This world-class resort has 794 rooms ranging from cosy intimate rooms that are tucked away to spacious suites with magnificent views over the Alberta Mountains.

There is a variety of different room types that are suitable for couples, families and groups and there are a number (by prior arrangement) with interconnecting doors, sofa beds and rollaways for added flexibility. Rooms are available for those with special needs and the hotel has additional equipment available by prior arrangement. Air conditioning and cribs are also available on request. All the rooms have private bathrooms, cable TV and in room pay movies and video games, coffee and tea making facilities and unlimited business internet access.
  • Fairmont Room

    This room is attractively elegant with beautiful dark wood furnishings and a colour theme of coffee and cream and there are Fairmont Rooms available throughout the hotel. With a floor area of 16m² there is a living area with soft chairs and flat screen TV, the bed with its crisp white linen and the bathroom. There is a choice of bed types: a king size bed, one Queen, two doubles or two singles. There are views of the hotel or hotel gardens from the window
  • Fairmont Mountain View Room

    These rooms offer guests wonderful views of the Rocky Mountains and are perfect for a quiet getaway. They are 16 m² of tranquil surroundings with soft coffee and cream colourings with autumn highlights and white linen. There is a choice of bed types available: a king size bed, one Queen bed, two double beds or two singles.
  • Deluxe Room

    This beautiful room is located in the main hotel building and with a floor area of 19m² has a larger living area for extra comfort. There is a choice of bed types available: one king size, one Queen or two Queens.
  • Deluxe Mountain View Room

    With mellow shades of decor for a relaxing environment, the Deluxe Mountain View Rooms have 19m² of floor area so that there is a larger living area. There are stunning views of the mountains and a choice of bed types: one king size, one Queen, two Queens or two double beds.
  • Stanley Thompson Deluxe Room

    This attractive room is named after the architect who designed the hotel’s challenging 18-hole golf course and is situated in the Stanley Thompson wing which is adjacent to the main hotel building and within easy walk of all hotel amenities. This spacious room with 21m² of floor area is ideally suited to small families and those enjoying a longer holiday. There is a choice of bed types; one king size, one Queen or two Queen beds.
  • Stanley Thompson Deluxe Mountain View Room

    This attractive room in its soft colour hues combines space with wonderful mountain views and is perfect both for longer stay guests as it has a generously sized living area and beautiful king size bed..
  • Signature Mountain View Room

    Situated in the main hotel building, these spacious rooms are beautifully decorated with such features as intricate crown moulding and sparkling chandeliers as well as attractive artwork. Signature Mountai9n View Rooms have beautiful views and with 26m² there is spacious accommodation including living area, bedroom area with king size bed and attractive marble bathroom.

Facilities

Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel sits on the edge of the UNESCO listed Banff National Park. It offers guests, hiking, fishing and horse riding. During the winter months there is great downhill and cross country skiing dog sledding and snowshoeing.

The hotel is best known for its excellent golf course which is situated amongst spectacular scenery. The 6938 yard, par 71, 18-hole golf course is fun and challenging. The golf course is open May-October and offers the quintessential destination for an unforgettable golf holiday experience.

Within the hotel is the stunning and award winning Willow Stream Spa which has beautiful waterfalls cascading into a beautiful mineral pool that soothes aching muscles perfectly. The Spa uses the healing power of the alpine air and sacred waters in its quiet sanctuary to balance the natural rhythm of the body and rejuvenate the senses.
Fairmont Banff Springs is located within easy walking distance of the town of Banff which has museums, galleries and its famous mineral-rich hot springs.

There is certainly no chance to go hungry at Fairmont Banff Springs! There are seven different restaurants offering a galaxy of cuisines with each one totally individual in style too. Children under five years can eat free of charge and children aged 5-12 years with 50% discount in many of the restaurants.

Rundle Lounge and Ramsay Lounge both have an informal and relaxing ambience with the chance to relax over a drink or cocktail. Rundle Lounge also has soups, salads and gourmet sandwiches for when a snack is needed too! In room dining is offered all hours all days so is perfect for an early breakfast, private romantic dinner or late supper and all can be enjoyed in the privacy of your guest room.

    This comfortable restaurant offers a contemporary twist on an authentic chophouse with the focus on Alberta beef, sustainably sourced wild game and ocean wise seafood. 1888 Chophouse is intimate and romantic, with excellent food that is cooked to perfection and served with panache.
