Abu Dhabi Holiday

Abu Dhabi can be combined with

Malaysia, Maldives, Seychelles, Thailand

Overview

If you are looking for the perfect destination for an exotic Arabian honeymoon then head to Abu Dhabi, sister Emirate of Dubai and in possession of its own fascinating cosmopolitan city. Though it is in a continuous state of development and boasts some of the region’s finest luxury hotels and world-class restaurants, Abu Dhabi is also more laidback than Dubai and boasts fertile gardens and parks, spacious streets and a 6km Corniche overlooking the sea. The city also offers easy access to the attractions of the desert, with its vast, barren beauty and timeless aura of romance and wildness.

Spend your Abu Dhabi honeymoon booked in to one of its opulent hotels or resorts and prepare to experience the exotic allure of the Middle East. Visit the city’s fascinating cultural attractions, such as the iconic Sheikh Zayed Mosque which offers guided tours, enjoy a picnic in Al Safa Park and ramble along the Corniche soaking up the sunshine, the sea and the unique atmosphere of Abu Dhabi. If you are visiting during winter be sure to head to the Camel Race Track to catch the Thursday and Friday races, and whatever time of year you visit make sure you book a desert safari. These trips include dune bashing, a lavish dinner and live entertainment provided by a talented belly dancer.

Antigua is one half of the Caribbean island nation, Antigua and Barbuda, an independent state which is part of the British Commonwealth. Antigua is the larger island and has garnered a global reputation for its spectacular scenery, soft white beaches and vibrant atmosphere. The capital of the country is situated on this island; in fact, Saint John’s is the only city on Antigua, and is home to a plethora of restaurants and bars as well as casinos and various stores selling everything a visiting tourist might need during their island sojourn.

Tourists can reach Antigua by air and by cruise ship. VC Bird International Airport is located just outside Saint John’s and receives international flights from the US and the UK as well as smaller regional flights. Bahamas Holiday

Bahamas can be combined with

Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, St Lucia, St Vincent & Grenadines, Turks & Caicos

Overview

The Bahamas is an archipelago of over 3000 islands (including cays), world-renowned for its stunning scenery, rich culture and warm, friendly locals. The capital of the Bahamas is Nassau, located on the eastern half of New Providence Island, a bustling historic town which is home to the vast majority of the Bahamian population. Once the hideout of famed pirate Blackbeard, these days Nassau is a thriving capital and a popular stop-off point for cruise ships. Some of the attractions you can visit here include the Pirate Museum, the Graycliff Cigar Company and the National Art Gallery.

Generally, though, the islands of the Bahamas are known for their natural attractions – the stunning beaches and sparkling azure waters. Water-based sports and activities are sure to be the main draw for many tourists. You can enjoy everything from snorkelling and scuba diving to deep-sea fishing, kiteboarding and dolphin watching courtesy of Bahamas Dolphin Encounters. There are also a variety of eco/adventure tours on offer, not to mention boat excursions such as the Flying Cloud or the Booze Cruise. If you want to explore ‘off the beaten track’, head to Andros, the largest and most sparsely populated island, home to mangrove swamps, untamed forests and savannas – and supposedly a legendary creature called the chickcharnie.

Bora Bora Holiday

Bora Bora can be combined with

Hawaii, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York

Overview

Bora Bora is part of the Society Islands archipelago of French Polynesia. Famed for its breath-taking natural beauty and luxury resorts, this remarkable isle has become a highly popular tourist destination, so much so that tourism is now almost the sole industry in Bora Bora. Served by the Bora Bora Airport on Motu Mute, the island receives 5 or 6 daily Air Tahiti flights from Papeete; the airline provides a free bus shuttle service to Vaitape, the largest settlement on Bora Bora. Once you reach the island there is no public transport but rental bicycles and cars are readily available, or you can hire a two-seater buggy. If you want to explore the lagoon, you can hire a motorboat for the purpose.

The predominant languages spoken on Bora Bora are French and Tahitian, but due to the island’s tourist-driven economy English is also commonly spoken. Most of the attractions on the island are water-based, as the island is surrounded by a pristine lagoon and barrier reef. Inland you will find an extinct volcano which juts into two dramatic peaks, Mount Otemanu and Mount Pahia.

Overview

Mauritius holidays are renowned for its paradise-like beauty, as well as for its luxury resorts and its magnificent swathes of powder-soft sand. But as anyone who has ever visited this heavenly isle will tell you, there is so much more to Mauritius than just sea, sand and swimming pools. With its vibrant ethnic diversity, its stunning landscapes – which include unspoilt forests and dramatic gorges – and its colourful market places, Mauritius holidays provide many diverse wonders to explore and experience.

The best place to begin any trip to Mauritius is in its dynamic capital of Port Louis, a mesmerising cultural melting pot which is guaranteed to charm with its stately colonial buildings, its bustling streets and Le Caudan Waterfront. While you’re here be sure to thrust yourself into the enjoyable mayhem of Central Market where you can purchase souvenirs for friends and family back home, and some more unusual items such as aphrodisiacs and Chinese healing herbs. Depending on the timing of your visit you may also want to visit the Champ de Mars Racecourse, which hosts races from (approximately) April to late November and is a historic site where Mauritian independence was declared back in in 1968.

Singapore Holiday

Singapore can be combined with

Abu Dhabi, Bali, Dubai, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam

Overview

The city-state and island nation of Singapore has built up a glowing reputation over the past few years, reinventing itself from a somewhat sterile lay-by en route to more colourful destinations – to now emerge, phoenix-like, as a colourful destination in its own right. A country which seamlessly toes the line between the traditional and the super-modern, Singapore is a riot of gilded temples, glittering skyscrapers, stately colonial buildings and lush green spaces populated by chattering birds and monkeys. The perfect place for a fascinating city break or even an exotic South-East Asian honeymoon, a sojourn spent in this vibrant metropolis is sure to prove unforgettable.

Unsurprisingly there is an excellent selection of accommodation available during your Singapore holiday, ranging from 2 star guesthouses through to lavish 5 star hotels (and everything in between). Finding something to eat is also not going to be a hard task, as Singaporeans are notorious for their love of delicious food, and as in so many other Asian cities a meal is never far away whether you are after some tasty street eats or a gourmet meal in an upmarket restaurant. Thanks to its status as a vibrant cultural melting pot, Singapore boasts a rich and varied selection of ethnic cuisines, ranging from Indian to Malay and Chinese, and the island’s own traditional dishes have been undergoing a very modern reinvention in many fine-dining eateries.
